The primary responsibility of the NERC Compliance Analyst is to support the PSGC NERC Reliability Standards Compliance Program and ensuring that PSGC is compliant with all standards supporting the reliability of the bulk electrical system, especially applicable FERC/NERC/SERC regulations and standards. Tasks include monitoring compliance activities, coordinating audits, preparing reports, and developing and maintaining performance metrics. The candidate will exhibit an interest in and commitment to improving our system reliability.
The Chemical Technician operates, performs regular preventive maintenance, troubleshoots, tests, and makes rounds taking regular readings on all water treatment, waste treatment, and cycle chemistry equipment and systems. Provides safety and environmental stewardship, ensures compliance with all applicable Federal and State regulations and plant procedures, keeps all equipment in optimum operating condition and develops operating procedures for plant equipment to ensure consistent and safe operation.
Application of non-core skills in the area of administrative, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control, maintenance skills are required to efficiently achieve the maximum water quality.

Prairie State Generating Company is looking for college students who are interested in a summer intern program in coal mining. A limited number of internships are available for college students enrolled a specific curriculum. Participating as an intern will provide experience and exposure to state of the art technology, industry experience, hands-on training, and exposure to industry professionals. In this internship students will rotate through the Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, Compliance, and Safety departments to gain exposure in all aspects of an underground coal mine.
The Mining Technician, Underground Mining, performs any one of several different functions in the non production “outby” areas (at areas other than the “face”), including the operation of conveyors, pumps, materials handling equipment, staging of supplies, operating and performing preventive maintenance on ventilation equipment, and power distribution equipment.
The Maintenance Technician, Underground Mining, performs troubleshooting and repair of all underground electrical, mechanical and hydraulic equipment in accordance with permissible condition as defined by MSHA. The role also is responsible for performing scheduled and preventive maintenance as required and completes the necessary reports and records.
