This position will have accountability and responsibility for continuous improvement of electrical equipment and support systems with the objectives of safe operation and elimination of repetetive failures This position is dedicated to the engineering function and will be focused on the application of technical skills and ingenuity required in the analysis of plant electrical equipment and related systems. Equipment and related systems consist of but are not limited to large generators, motors, variable frequency drives, precipitators, transformers, switchgear, relays, batteries, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), balance of plant electrical systems, back up battery systems, ancillary support systems, and distributed control systems.

Compensation and Benefits
At Prairie State, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as one grows and develops within a role. The base pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this role is between $85,000 annually and $100,000 annually. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as skills, qualifications, and relevant experience. In addition, this position is eligible to participate in the Company’s monthly incentive program.

Prairie State offers all full-time employees paid time off, accruing 160 hours annually with gradual increases based on length of service, as well as nine paid holidays per year. Paid maternal and paternal leave is also available to employees that meet the eligibility requirements.
