  • Overview

    Position is responsible for understanding, reviewing, and making recommendations for changes to PSGC’s plant business processes for more efficient and effective workflows. This position will also identify and produce business reports with effective key performance indicators for outage preparation metrics as well as useful dashboards.  

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

     

    Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following activities (in addition, other duties and responsibilities may be assigned):

    • Work with system teams to identify preventative and corrective maintenance requirements for major components
    • Perform research and interviews to determine business requirements and translate into specifications for projects and/or workflow changes
    • Review major outage milestone schedule and process workflows for job planning and execution
    • Learn and understand CMMS (IBM Maximo) database structure and data availability
    • Determine any process workflow improvements for both data capture and efficiency
    • Identify and develop outage planning milestone KPIs and quality metrics
    • Develop dashboards to track KPIs and useful data relate to milestone completion and quality

    Education/Experience

     

    • To be considered, an individual MUST be enrolled in a college degree program.
    • Study of degree programs such as Management Information Systems or Computer Science with a Business Minor preferred
    • Enrollment in a Bachelor degree program required, Master’s preferred.
    • Must be in good academic standing.
    • MUST be available for a 13 week program beginning in Mid/Late-May to Early/Mid-August.

    Certification/Licensure

     

    No certification or license required.

     

    Knowledge of

     

    • Process improvement, Lean Six Sigma, or Agile methodologies
    • Data analytics, SQL transactions
    • Business intelligence concepts (reporting, querying, software, data mining, etc.) 

    Skills and Abilities

    • Strong communication skills, including prioritizing, problem solving and interpersonal relationship building.
    • Ability to work unsupervised as required.
    • Ability to enter confined spaces, climb ladders and wear respirators as needed.
    • Ability to sit, stand, reach, stoop, and lift boxes weighing as much as 25 pounds.
