The Chemical Technician operates, performs regular preventive maintenance, troubleshoots, tests, and makes rounds taking regular readings on all water treatment, waste treatment, and cycle chemistry equipment and systems. Provides safety and environmental stewardship, ensures compliance with all applicable Federal and State regulations and plant procedures, keeps all equipment in optimum operating condition and develops operating procedures for plant equipment to ensure consistent and safe operation.
Application of non-core skills in the area of administrative, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control, maintenance skills are required to efficiently achieve the maximum water quality.

An Associate’s Degree in a chemical related field is preferred.
Two years’ experience working on water production equipment is preferred.
Power plant or related heavy industrial experience is preferred.
Must successfully complete applicable EEI Test Battery
